We pick up packages from customer's homes and offices within 100 miles radius
from Washington, DC. Pick up fee - $20.00.

1. A self-made parcel has to be wrapped in a carton, tied up with a cord or pasted over on joints
by a tape the way the goods are inaccessible nor can be damaged during the transportation.
2. Full addresses, of a sender and of a recipient, have to be put on the parcel.
3. Parcels mustn't contain quickly perishable food, nor liquids in glass bottles, plastic or defective
containers, nor weapon and ammunition. It is not allowed to send in air parcels aerosols, batteries,
gas or petrol lighters, any liquids, inflammable subjects. It's as well prohibited to send accumulators
(dry or wet), telescopes. There is however possibility of sending by air small auto parts not containing
liquids and compressed air.
4. It is recommended that parcel don't weigh more than 60 lbs. Big and heavy parcels are verified by
Custom Office in Poland very often. Besides in case of heavy parcel an assistance to driver must be
provided as shipment and at delivery in Poland. OVERSISED PACKAGES
Any parcel can be considered as oversized if its dimensions (length + width + height) are over 72".
So, even light oversized packages cannot be shipped at the same price.
The right charge for see parcels can be calculated by multiplying the length (a) times width (b) times
height (c) in inches and then dividing this product by 140. The result gives the weight of parcel in pounds.
Formula: (a x b x c) : 140 = parcel's weight in lbs.
If real weight of shipping is greater than the calculated weight, the physical weight shipping cost will be
applied.
If the calculated weight is significantly greater than the real one, Plonez will apply special rate.
The charge for air parcels can be calculated by multiplying the length (a) times width (b) times
height (c) in inches and then dividing this product by 166. The result gives the weight of parcel in pounds. Formula: (a x b x c) : 166 = parcel's weight in lbs.
As for air parcel no additional fee is required. The applied charge results from calculation.
AIR PACKAGES
It is necessary to fill out 'Shipper's Endorsement' for all air parcels.
Polonez Parcel Services will not accept air parcels which will not fit into the containers for air shipments.
The air containers are 40" x 30" x 25". RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING CUSTOMS
We would like to inform you that according to requirements of Polish Custom Office all custom
declarations have to be filled up exactly. You need to be specific when listing items you sent (names,
quantities).
Besides the sender has to declare for the Custom Office the parcel's value.
On gift parcels of value 45 EURO or less no duty is imposed.
Please, notice that the shipment fee is added by Custom Office to the declared value.
Conspicuously large parcels may be picked up for custom's examination, opened and a duty may be
imposed inspite of the value less than 45 EURO given on the declaration.
Please, notice that when more than one parcel are sent in the same shipment to the same addressee
their value may be taken together by the Custom Office and an appropriate duty and tax may be imposed.
If the parcel is precious there is possibility to buy up an additional insurance. It's possible that the receiver
will pay the allotted duty.
In case when recipient deny to pay duty, the firm in Poland pays the duty for merchandise to the Custom
Office. The parcel is stored and the appartenant cost raise, i.e. for storage and interests of the amount
paid as duty. If the recipient will not cover all charges, the merchandise will be seized and sold. The
gained money will cover the mentioned costs.
We remind that parcels cannot be sent from Poland to USA through our service. If the customer propose
returning of the parcel, he has to cover himself or indicate the person who will cover the costs of returning
by Polish mail.
The shipment costs from Poland are very high; in addition customs fees on the part of USA Customs
may come along.
To the custom declarations for parcels with trade articles, with electronic appliances, with auto parts and
other dutiable consignments have to be attached original receipts.
